IUP DEE

IUP DEE arranged annual meeting with IUP students (IUPians) on Tuesday, 16th January 2018 with the theme “A Reflection on Achievement 2017 and Focus in 2018.” This meeting was held at 2 pm in the 3rd floor Manual Accounting Room and attended by around 70 IUPians from batch 2015, 2016, and 2017. Miss Raeni S.Pd., M.Sc. as Program Coordinator of Accounting Education hosted this meeting impressively. This event is opened by the Head Department of Economic Education, Dr. Ade Rustiana, M.Si. In his speech Mr. Ade Rustiana appreciated IUP DEE performance 2017 and encouraged all IUPians to improve their English ability to emphasize it as their distinction as international class students. He also announced “IUPian of The Year 2017” awards for the IUPian who gets the highest international exposure score in 2017. The IUPian of the year 2017 went to Uswatun Chasanah (Accounting Education), Ana Rachmawati (Office Administration Education), and Nur Aini Agustin (Economic Education). Mr. Ade Rustiana hoped this award is able to stimulate all of IUPians to increase international activities so that they can get more international exposure score this year.

In this meeting, Inaya Sari Melati, S.Pd., M.Pd as the Chair of IUP DEE announced IUPians achievements in 2017. Inaya said that along 2017, IUPians have participated in many international events such as: international conference, exchange program, international volunteering, writing competition, etc. Nevertheless, IUPians have to work hard to improve their paces in order to obtain more achievement in 2018. IUP DEE also have developed network to many institutions this year, including: Macquaire University, University of Canberra, IDP Semarang, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Malaysia, GREAT Indonesia, and so forth.

In 2018, Inaya emphasized that IUP DEE will be more concern in human resources development of both students and faculty members. All of IUPians have to carry out the TOEFL test by 30th April 2018 to support their international activities this year. To support this program IUP DEE executive team will arrange TOEFL preparation program for all IUPians right after the new semester starts. This event also announced IUPians about IUP DEE Overseas Study Tour which will be held on November 2018 in Malaysia. The IUPians batch 2015 were appealed to join this study tour since they need to gain wider experience internationally. IUP DEE program 2018 received a positive response from IUPians. Some of IUPians stated they are really nervous and eager at the same time knowing the high target they have to get beyond, but all of Executive Team IUP DEE convincing them to believe in themselves and keep struggling to reach their dreams through IUP DEE.
