Sharing Moment from Macau

Today, we had amazing time with Ms. Uswatun Hasanah IUPians 2016 who did volunteering activities overseas for two weeks. This ‘Sharing Moment’ held in Accounting Corner. She shared her wonderful project and amazing experiences from her recent trips in Macau and Hong Kong under Macau International Workcamp 2017 funded by Associacao de Nova Juventude Chinesa de Macau. Attended by Executive Chairman of IUP DEE Mr. Sandy Arief, S.Pd., M.Sc; Program Coordinator of Co-op Mr. Kemal Budi Mulyono, S.Pd., M.Pd; and more than 50 IUPians who demonstrated their curiosity on Macau and other projects during the Q&A session.

She impressed the participant with her stories. Actively involved in the city cleaning action, heritage tour, and participation in the Feast parade made her appreciated more with other cultures. “I did not want to just be a tourist, an observer; I wanted to live it, to taste it, to absorb it through my skin.” She added when one of the participants asked her motivation to do volunteering activity in Macau.

Mr. Sandy Arief stated that “I congratulate Ms. Uswatun Hasanah who did amazing jobs during her international exposures. This intellectual and cultural journey prepare her to work collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds and sharpen your abilities to generate solutions to unforeseen and challenging problems. I hope so that other IUPians will embrace her footsteps to remain open and flexible to changing circumstances.” He added.

Furthermore, Mr. Sandy Arief closed this ‘Sharing Moment’ by announcing some important news on competition and preparation for IUPians 2014 who are going to do international teaching practice in Malaysia and Vietnam next month. Bravo IUP DEE! (Wahyu Nursiswo, Student Staff).
